Wacoal Museum of Beauty

Highlight
Bra pads developed and retailed by Wacoal founder in 1949 to bring Western chic to Japanese women

In pursuit of the perfect body line

This is a corporate museum of the lingerie maker Wacoal – a company that prides itself on the goal of “helping women to become more beautiful”. And, as such, the museum acts as a beacon shedding light on the culture of “beauty”.
In the hit products corner, visitors can see at a glance the history of Wacoal’s industry-leading efforts to pursue female beauty from the bra pads that launched Wacoal into the lingerie business through to the brassieres that have taken shape based on data from the latest in human engineering. Meanwhile, in the “Bra Parts” corner, all the components required to make one brassiere are introduced. Each part is sewn by hand within exacting millimeter units to complete one brassiere.
The “Wacoal Human Science Research Lab” corner, introduces Wacoal’s production efforts based on scientific research to assist the pursuit for beauty that many women so desire.
