Omron - creating innovation driven by social needs

At Omron, the aim is to perceive latent social needs, taking the lead to develop those perceptions into technologies, products and services that can be provided to the public to solve social problems - Omron call this “creating innovation driven by social needs”, a “company DNA” passed down from one generation of employees to the next.
Divided into two floors, one with company history the other with company technology, the Communication Plaza is a corporate museum that tells the story of how Omron works to create innovation driven by social needs in today’s world and how that will be carried into tomorrow’s world.
On the history floor, exhibits and visuals of products through the years introduce a timeline of the company from foundation to today. Whereas, on the technology floor, hands-on demonstration equipment and visuals incorporating projection mapping are used to introduce Omron’s cutting-edge technologies.
And, visitors can try out the various cutting-edge technologies, including “face recognition technology”, which estimates age, gender and degree of smile, and technology that monitors driver concentration level needed when in an autonomous vehicle.
